Teaming to Win 2003: Yet Another Year of "Teaming" for Success |
The 14th Annual Teaming to Win Conference promises to be yet another year of opportunity for attendees.
Mountaineer Race Track and Gaming Resort will again host the premier West Virginia business conference designed to promote the idea that small businesses in the state can combine their resources and compete for and win more federal and state contracts Why do attendees continue to participate in Teaming to Win year after year?
"Conferences like this bring together all the people that you need: the contracting officers, the procurement people. You introduce yourself to them and give them your business card and a spiel about your company. You walk away, and you have a contact. You have a possible contract right there," said Joanna Leach, CEO of Business Systems and Services Inc. "The goal is to get contracts, and we have been able to get contracts at Teaming to Win from the very beginning." | | Paul Garnett, president of Mountain State Information Systems Inc. in Fairmont and Elkins, said, "I think one of the most important things about Teaming to Win is that it is a great way for a company to say, 'we were here last year. We're going to be here this year. We are a presence. We're serious. We're really here to do business and to do things well.'"
Azimuth Inc. has been an avid supporter of Teaming to Win since the beginning days of the conference. Craig Hartzell, senior vice president of Azimuth, said that support continues.
"We have been involved in Teaming to Win since day one. We have been a supporter every year, been part of the growth, if you will, of economic diversification in the state of West Virginia. This conference is a big part of that. Socially, it is always a good thing and good things happen when you bring together small business, large business and government to support activities. There is always something good that comes out of this conference. We enjoy being a part of that." |

The Teaming to Win Board of Directors selected these award recipients based on the concept of the spirit of teaming.
